Hi! I’m Gülümser.
I’m a non-native speaker of English. My English learning journey started years ago and I'm sure I took many of the same steps as you’ve taken in your language learning so far.
So, don’t worry, I feel your pain.
Although I am already a proficient speaker of English, my goal is to reach full English fluency at The Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) C2 level.
I've created this website to share what I've learned and am learning as both an English learner and as an English teacher.
Yes, that's right.
I'm also a CELTA-certified English teacher and I teach 1:1 English lessons to learners in Konya, Turkey. In addition, I'm currently working on my second Bachelor's Degree so that I may become qualified to teach English in Turkish schools.
By the way, I have never lived in or traveled to an English-speaking country. And no, I did not go to a fancy private school where classes were taught in English either.
I know many of you are in the same situation.
So, I hope to be an inspiration to show you that it’s possible to learn to speak English well from wherever you may live around the globe!
